The Koshak site is a new K/T section located about 125 km EEN of the
Fort Shevchenko city, Mangyshlak, Kazakhstan. In this paper, we report
results of geochemical and mineralogical studies of this section which
indicate a deep element fractionation and an oxidation event at the K/T
boundary.
