Some theoretical results are presented on the Soviet Jupiter-2 electromagnetic plasma confinement device. Calculations are presented on the magnetic configuration and electron-injection plasma parameters. The following plasma parameter values are predicted for injection currents of 4 A and magnetic induction of 25 kG: density of 3 x 10 to the 13th per cu cm, ion temperature of 1 keV, and energy lifetime of 0.1 sec.
