Very deep Wide-Field Camera images in passbands similar to V and I have been obtained in several high galactic latitude fields, each containing several hundred galaxies to a limit of V ~ 24. We examine the distribution of morphologies and look for evidence of interactions or merging. The application of deconvolution algorithms to low signal-to-noise images is discussed. Lucy and maximum entropy deconvolutions are of limited use for images of compact galaxies at low signal-to-noise ratios. We show the results of modelling of galaxy sizes as a function of apparent magnitude, for galaxies of various Hubble type, and as a function of absolute magnitude, evolution and cosmology. Simulated images have been generated for comparison with the deepest MDS frames, and comparisons are made on the basis of (i) number counts versus magnitude, (ii) apparent size distribution versus magnitude, (iv) color distribution, and (iii) frequency of close pairs.
