Voyager 1 at 115 AU and Voyager 2 at 94 AU are exploring deep within the heliosheath where the interaction between the solar wind and the local interstellar medium becomes increasingly complex. The Voyagers will observe the deflection of the solar wind plasma as it approaches the heliopause, the compression of the magnetic field, the extension of heliospheric current sheet to higher latitudes and its evolution, and the propagation and reflection of transient events with the onset of the new solar cycle. These and other observations will help inform the continuing development of models of the heliosphere and cosmic ray modulation, as well as facilitate the search for new processes such as the acceleration of energetic particles near the heliopause and magnetic merging of the highly compressed current sheet.
