The temporal evolution of geomagnetic activity can be studied through the AA* index. Here, the time series of the above mentioned index is analyzed using the wavelet transform for estimating the Hurst parameter H. According to the H value obtained we confirm that the geomagnetic data, is a time series with long-range dependence characteristic, infering that the current geomagnetic activity is related to the prior activity a very long time ago (75 years).
