The Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX) satellite was launched on April 24, 1996. This report provides an update of the gaseous and particulate environment after 7+ years in space. The film accretion on MSX is being reported elsewhere in this conference. Gaseous data are reported from the neutral mass spectrometer (NMS) and the total pressure sensor (TPS), while particulate data are reported from the primary particle detector consisting of the xenon flashlamp experiment (XFE) and the wide-field visible imager (IVW).
