The formation of the Geminid meteor stream is considered. Five thousand
particles are sufficient to construct a qualitative map of the cross
system of the stream. Several models for the ejection of particles from
the cometary nucleus are presented. The effect of the distribution of
the rates of ejection on the structure of the stream is studied.
