FiberGLAST is one of several main instrument concepts under development for NASA's Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) mission. Operating in the energy range from 10 MeV to 300 GeV, the detector will achieve a sensitivity more than 10 times better than EGRET, with a field of view extending to 80 degrees from the detector axis. We present an overview of the instrument concept highlighting the particular scientific goals emphasized by the fiberGLAST design.
