The ESA's Faint Object Camera (FOC) for the NASA Space Telescope contains two independent cameras, each of which has its own optical system respectively working at F/96 and F/48. Their detectors are photon-counting imaging systems whose signals are processed in real time. Attention is given to the features and performance of the engineering and flight models of the FOC that have recently been built.
