Through its Education programme, ESA aims to offer positive learning and growth opportunities for all individuals in formal and informal education programmes, support and encouragement to the deliverers and providers of such programmes. These goals are fully embodied in the mandate and long-term goals of the ESA Education Programme described in two documents presented to the ESA Council during meetings in June 2000 and June 2001. This paper reviews the basis of the ESA Space Eduction Programme objectives, methods and experience gained through its four-year of existence.
