The energy of elementary excitations in the superlattice consisting of ferromagnetic planes interacting ferromagnetically described by the Heisenberg ferromagnet is discussed. Standard approach is to linearize the equations of motion for the particular spins and formulate the transfer matrix for the system. Its trace leads to the energy of the elementary excitations. We show that this linearization is completely equivalent to the substitution of spin operators with Bose-operators in Bloch's approximation. Then one can perform the diagonalization of the Hamiltonian using a simple unitary transformation, leading to the same energy of elementary excitations. This opens new possibilities for the calculation with superlattices.
