The transitions induced in P mode photons in an electromagnetic cavity by a gravitational wave are calculated in a linear approximation using previously reported results (Tourrenc, 1975). A parallel epipedal electromagnetic cavity with edges parallel to an orthonomic frame of reference is considered. The analysis is limited to the P and K modes, characterized by common polarization of the potential vector along the O x axis. The minimum flux necessary to produce an observable effect is calculated.
