Through the in-situ measurement of solar absorptivity (αs) for white thermal control coatings in simulated space environment on ground, the separated radiation effect of UV, electron and proton is studied on selected binders(methyl silicone resin, additional methyl ethyl silicone rubber, acrylic resin) and pigments (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, zirconium dioxide). The experimental results demonstrate that the UV exposure is vital for the changes of solar absorptivity (Δαs) for white thermal control coatings among various space radiation factors. After 1000 ESH of UV exposure, the stability for binders is: acrylic resin>methyl silicon resin>additional methyl ethyl silicone rubber; and the stability for pigments is: zinc oxide>zirconium dioxide>titanium dioxide. The changes of solar absorptivity is not obvious for selected binders and pigments except for titanium dioxide after 1.5×1015e/cm2 electron (50KV energy) and 5×1014 p/cm2 proton (50KV energy) radiation, respectively.
