The recently improved determination of the spectral shape of the
'big-bang' radiation has made it possible to assess some of its effects
on cooling of the 6 cm and 2 cm transitions of interstellar
formaldehyde. One new result is that a minimum H2 density is not
required to cause anomalous absorption at 6 cm.
