Simple Monte Carlo calculations have been made to estimate the effects
of proton scatter in a proton recoil telescope of conventional design,
as used to measure neutron fluences between 1 and 20 MeV. It was found
that in practical cases the effects were negligible and could safely be
ignored in absolute determinations of neutron fluence.
