N-S asymmetry was examined on the basis of experimental data obtained at
the various depths of the Earth atmosphere over south and north poles.
The amplitude of asymmetry was shown to increase with the depth. The
paper presents the data on N-S asymmetry of solar activity for the
period 1954 - 1980.
