Cosmic Rays: Magnetohydrodynamics
Scientific paper
A transfer equation is derived for cosmic rays in a moving medium with random, weak magnetohydrodynamic waves. The particle-wave interaction is described by a "quasi-linear collision integral" of general form. Wave polarization is given by the polarization matrix. The transfer equation describes the spatial diffusion, convective transfer, and the regular and statistical change in energy of the relativistic particles.
