We request two nights of KPNO 4m time to obtain spectra of 30 candidate blazars selected in a new survey with ≳ 90% efficiency. DXRBS (Perlman et al. 1998) is exploring vast new regions of parameter space, compiling a sample of ~ 300 blazars to fluxes 10× fainter than previous surveys. DXRBS is for the first time revealing the faint end of the radio luminosity function (LF) of flat- spectrum radio quasars (FSRQ), which is currently almost unconstrained at and below its knee. DXRBS is the first sample for which it will be possible to derive the X-ray LF of FSRQs and thus constrain the Lorentz factor and opening angles of the X-ray emitting regions of FSRQ jets. Our large database and wide coverage of parameter space will allow us to probe many questions of blazar physics much more deeply than ever before. We have identified 154 of 209 new blazar candidates. The remainder need to be identified to ensure completeness. These are mostly faint in the optical (V> 19), radio (< 100 mJy), and X-ray (< 2 × 10^-13 cgs), and should probe the highest redshifts. These observations, along with an ESO 3.6m run scheduled for March, should allow us to complete our selection process to V=22.
