In the orbits of Spacelab the primary cosmic ray flux will bombard the space vehicle, unshielded by the atmosphere. The radiation fluxes of all components should be known because firstly the effects onto biological objects will be studied and because secondly the radiation hazard for the men working in the Spacelab must be evaluated. The radiation hazard due to the galactic protons and heavy nuclei and due to the solar flare events will be evaluated. Also the influence due to the south Atlantic magnetic anomaly is considered.
