The continuous emission spectra of Hα, Hβ and Hγ wave bands of the solar flare of July 5, 1989 are given and analysed. Studies show that characteristics of spectra, time and configuration of the flare are similar to those of a white light flare and therefore the flare is very likely a white light one.
