We propose to observe the bright magnetically active star AB Doradus as part of a multi-wavelength campaign with the Suzaku X-ray satellite. The ATCA/Suzaku observations should overlap as much as possible in order to identify the high-energy non-thermal electron population in the stellar coronal flares. Indeed, huge flares (not uncommon in AB Dor) should produce non-thermal hard X-rays, but their detection has yet eluded past hard X-ray satellites. However, Suzaku now has the proper sensitivity to detect non-thermal hard X-rays and ATCA will be an excellent additional means to study the properties of the non-thermal electron population from radio observations at 3.6, 6, 13, and 20 cm.
