Based on published data, we can constrain the apparent Luminosity
Function (LF) for the prompt optical emission for a sample of 205 bursts
with optical detections or upper limits, using a parametric approach. It
is found that the simplest possible LF, a Log-normal distribution of
peak fluxes, passes a Kolmogorov-Smirnov test.
