Infrared emission spectra of the A2Πi-X2Σ+ system of CP have been observed at high resolution using a Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The rotational structure of seven new bands involving vibrational levels up to v = 4 of both electronic states has been analyzed and equilibrium molecular constants have been determined. For the X2Σ+ state ωe = 1239.77924(8) cm-1 and re = 1.5619780(2) Å were derived, while for the A2Πi state the corresponding values are ωe = 1062.47140(98) cm-1 and re = 1.654420(6) Å.
