The weak equivalence principle (WEP) has currently been shown to be valid to an accuracy of 0264-9381/13/11A/006/img11. Free-fall experiments over short distances have attained an accuracy of only 0264-9381/13/11A/006/img12. Microgravity facilities such as the `Bremen drop tower' enable long-distance free-fall experiments which may improve the accuracy to 0264-9381/13/11A/006/img13.
