No reliable data exist to test models of Galactic Lithium (Li) Production. Li versus [Fe/H] in field dwarfs is commonly used but disagrees with current models. The field dwarfs at the Li upper envelope of this data, however, are likely to be old Li depleted stars. In contradistinction, young open clusters of differing [Fe/H] can provide a reliable Li-Fe relation to test Galactic Li Production models. Indeed, we have found extended Li plateaus with no discernible scatter in the young (30-40 Myr) metal-poor ([Fe/H]=-0.25+/-0.02) M36 and solar metallicity ([Fe/H]=-0.02+/-0.02) NGC 2547 clusters. We assume these are the initial cluster Li, with NGC 2547 showing a 0.2 dex higher initial Li. Similarly, the initial Li of the 100 Myr-old, solar metallicity ([Fe/H]=-0.04+/-0.04) Pleiades agrees with both NGC 2547 and meteoritic Li. This is consistent with Galactic Li Production and a Li-Fe correlation. Encouraged by these first findings, we now propose to try to establish a Li-Fe trend using the following open clusters that span a relatively large range in [Fe/H]: NGC 2546, NGC 2343, NGC 2242, and NGC 2362.
