The purpose of this paper is to benchmark Software Crisis over companies out of space domain, to answer the question : "Is Software Crisis a "Space" crisis?". All these companies deal with highly critical Software, such as energy (nuclear plants), automotive, aeronautics or air traffic control. After having checked that interviewed companies have similar problem as space industries, we examine how they intend to solve their crisis, using Collaborative Work and System Engineering techniques. Then we analyse how these methods can be applied to software. Based upon Experience Feedback in space or energy industry, we finally settle recommendations applicable to the Technical Information System. The proposed improvement consists in Technical Data Integration based on System Engineering methodology, and relies on a light concurrent engineering workbench.
