The paper reports the results of a study of the daily variation of cosmic ray intensity for an event occurring during February-March 1977. It is found that the amplitude distribution is almost similar to a long-term average distribution. The diurnal phase during the two months is randomly distributed around the clock in contrast to what is observed during other periods. The individual days are associated with normal diurnal amplitude or even many times higher than the normal values. Since the diurnal time of maximum is distributed over 24 hours, the larger amplitude on individual days, when averaged with the opposite phase, yields negligible monthly average amplitudes. The results might confirm the 22-year recurrence pattern.
