The HESS air Cerenkov telescope located in Namibia has measured the gamma-ray spectrum emanating from an approximate 0.5 x 0.5 degree field centred on and covering the Sgittarius (Sgr) B giant molecular cloud (GMC). From the Sgr B gamma-ray flux, then, and with the additional input of the local magnetic field strength and gas density, we can predict the synchrotron flux from electron and positron secondaries generated over the entire Sgr B GMC. Radio observations of the entire Sgr B cloud at 13 and 20 cm would provide strong constraints on the CR spectrum at the GC. We wish to observe this region using the ATCA at 20cm and 13cm to fill in the short baselines missing from previous observations and match the resolution of lower frequency VLA and SUMSS data to constrain the CR spectrum in the GC.
