The existence of the symmetric periodic orbits in the plane restricted three-body problem and in the problem of the motion of zero mass point in the neighborhood of one of the main bodies is proved. The theory of the continuation in parameter of the symmetric periodic motion for the reversible system is systematically used. The theory needs the analysis of the generating system only.
