It is known that in the three body problem, the equilateral configuration of relative equilibrium exists for all values of masses, while in the n-body problem, for n = 4 and n = 5, the position of relative equilibrium where the bodies are at the vertices of a regular polygon with n sides, exists only if the masses are equal. The author proves in this paper, that this last result is true for all n ≥ 4.
