The diffusion of neutrinos in a supernova core is analyzed within the framework of Weinberg's (1967) weak-interaction theory. The hydrodynamic collapse of the core is calculated on the assumption that the core is homogeneous (one-shell model), with simultaneous allowance for electron capture by nuclei and for the reaction and diffusion of neutrinos. The computations are carried out for a range of core temperatures and for Weinberg angles of 0.45, 0.3, and 0.
