A brief history of superdeformation is presented. Calculations of
superdeformed well depths, single particle energy level diagrams at I=0,
orbital alignments as a function of rotational frequency, and dynamical
moments of inertia are given. The sensitivity of calculations to the
details of the spin-orbit interaction are examined.
