The poor reliability of sunspot cycle data from earlier years is confronted as a major difficulty in forecasting sunspot cycles. The 11-year cycle, modulated by a cycle spanning roughly 179 years, is associated with a secondary cycle of 16 cycles, and predictions are made for future Zurich numbers (yearly average of Wolf sunspot numbers). Future primary cycles longer than the customary 11 years (and lasting about 14 years) are predicted.
