SOME very remarkable maculæ appeared on the sun on March 28,
9h 50m A. M., which are of interest from the
fan-like portion of the most westerly of the large spots having been
much enlarged whilst under observation. The enlargement took place from
the centre outwards, and occupied several seconds in its development.
