Recent studies of the turbulent processes in the central plasma sheet have shown that the instantaneous profiles of the diagonal terms of eddy-diffusion coefficients tensor show an increase with distance from the Earth in the tailward direction [Pinto et al. 2011,Stepanova et al. 2011], which agree with previous statistical studies.
