Motion of a body launched moonward from the earth is investigated with earth and moon both treated as two fixed homogeneous spheres. Characteristic values of an energy constant are found. The equilibrium point between the two celestial bodies at which the launched vehicle would remain in equilibrium under the attractions of the two bodies, residing there for an infinite time after once arriving at zero velocity, is found. The analysis makes use of elliptic integrals and computer calculations.
