High speed solar wind streams can be separated into two categories:the coronal hole associated streams and the flare generated streams.These two types of high speed solar wind steams are well known factors in producing short-terms variations in cosmic rayintensity.Daily values of Harmahus neutron monitor have been analysed using the chree method of suprposed epochs for the period of 1986=1990,covering the ascending phase of solar cycle indicate,significant transient decrease in cosmic ray intensity during the period of flare generated high speed solar wind streams.
