During the years 94-97, the emulsion target of the CHORUS experiment was exposed to the Wide Band Neutrino Beam from the CERN-SPS. The experiment was designed to search for neutrino oscillation in the vμ → vτ channel. Using 144,000 vμ charged current (CC) interactions, successfully located in the emulsion target, we have performed a study of the neutrino-production of charmed particles and their decay. We report here on a search for associated charm production in vμ CC interactions. The detection of one event consistent with this process, never directly observed so far, is presented. A measurement of the production rate of D0 mesons based on a sub-sample of located vμ CC interactions will be discussed.
