In this paper, the Sun's motion was determined in relation to the stars from the neighborhood, using a kinematical selection obtained through the combination of the Hipparcos astrometric catalogue with the Barbier-Brossat catalogue of radial velocities. The velocity of the Sun was determined by three methods: spatial velocities, radial velocities and proper motions, proving that there are no significant difference between the results obtained by these three methods. In this paper, we tried to extent previous researches, determining the Sun'motion in relation to the stars situated at different distances from the Sun. The Sun'velocity has been also determined depending on the color index of different stellar populations (ZAMS, TAMS, AGB).
