The Precision Segmented Reflector (PSR) represents an initial step in
the development of enabling technologies for large, lightweight
segmented optical telescopes. The derivation of the design requirements
for the PSR structures is discussed, as well as the approaches being
used to analyze these systems, and plans for ground-based testing.
