Geometrical methods of tying in TV photographs of the Venusian cloud layer are examined. It is noted that the pattern of large-scale phenomena in the Venusian atmosphere remained stable during the entire period of photography. A characteristic feature is spiral cloud formations arching to the northwest from the equator to high latitudes. Among the new formations observed are filamentary cloud strips and large-scale convection cells of variable structure. An attempt is made to predict the vertical structure of ultraviolet features.
