We have studied the 8Li and 8B nuclei within the extended α+t(3He)+N model, which takes into account peculiarities of both two- and three-body dynamics. Effects of strong deformation and dynamical polarization of the 7Li(7Be) core as well as the core excitation are treated simultaneuosly. Various observables are calculated for 8Li, 8B states and compared with the experiment. Estimates, based on the values of asymptotic normalization coefficients for the obtained 8B wave function, support S17(0) value ~19.2 eV b.
