The frequency of meteoritic craters on Earth is compared with the values for the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Mercury. Geophysical methods of detecting stellar wounds (astroblemes) are described. The mechanism of meteoritic shock action in scouring out craters is outlined. Amplitude of gravitational anomalies of an area suspected as covering the scars of a meteoritic impact is presented as a function of dimensions of meteoritic structures.
