The main aim of the Grid Giant Star Survey is to select those G-K giants whose radial velocity is stable at a high level of accuracy. We have obtained the basic stellar parameters: effective temperature (Teff), surface gravity (log g), and metallicity ([Fe/H]), for the GGSS stars that have been observed two or more times. This poster presents the results of a comparison between the radial velocity scatter and the stellar parameters inferred for more than 530 stars. This will help to improve the selection of the GGSS candidates with the most stable radial velocities.
The project is supported by NASA/JPL through the grant NRA-99-04-OSS-058.
