New results are presented for the shapes of the Balmer and Paschen lines of hydrogenic helium. The method uses a modelization of the time fluctuations of the plasma microfield. Ion dynamics effects are thus included in the calculation. Comparisons are done with other theoretical and experimental results. Variations of the widths with the electronic density, temperature and plasma composition are extensively studied.
