Ionospheric data of some middle latitude European stations do not indicate any significant change in the occurrences of sporadic-E(Es) layer capable of reflecting vertically incident radio waves of frequencies greater than 3 Mc/s during 1963 when radar meteor counts showed an anomalously large increase. Instead, the low type of Es was found less frequent during this period of large meteor incidence.
