The laser-induced charge-transfer detection technique described by Grieman et al. (1982) is used in a selected-ion flow-tube apparatus with Ar as the transfer medium to measure the X 2Sigma g (+) (v double prime = 0) - A 2Pi u (v prime = 5) Meinel band of N2(+) and the X 2Sigma (+) (v double prime = 0) - A 2Pi (v prime = 1,2) comet-tail bands of CO. The results are presented in tables and briefly characterized. The measurements are shown to have Doppler-limited resolution and SNR much higher than those obtained using other techniques.
