The ultraviolet (UV) spectral proprieties of supernovae (SNe) give us fundamental informations about SN metallicity and its evolution over time. The UV emissions analysis can throw light on SNe environment, their progenitor and explosion mechanism, helping us to understand these events better. Unfortunately, UV spectroscopy of local SNe of all types, which can only be obtained from space, is sparse. Here we present the Swift program dedicated to SN observations in the UV domain, our aim is to increase the number of detected objects improving our knowledge of SNe behavior at these wavelengths.
