The observations have been made of energetic heavy ions in various places from 1 to 220 Re by means of the satellites as MDS-1 and GEOTAIL. The elemental abundances from C to Fe were observed by MDS-1 at 1 - 10 Re, GEOTAIL at 10 - 220 Re in the magnetosphere and beyond. Comparing these abundances with that of galactic cosmic rays (GCRs) measured by ACE/CRIS at 230 Re at L1 point beyond the magnetosphere, we have found some differences between the GCR composition and our results. Referring to the results obtained thus far, we show the relative abundances and the spatial distribution obtained by these satellites. We also discuss the relation between the heavy ion composition in GCRs and the particle composition within the magnetosphere.
