Armstrong and Coles (1972) have developed a method of analyzing three-station observations of interplanetary scintillations. A critical assumption in their method, however, is that the spatial and temporal correlation functions have the same functional form. In the present paper it is shown how the velocity of a moving pattern can be determined without recourse to the above assumption.
